I'm also shopping for a L2800. Got my 2nd quote yesterday for a L2800,HST,4WD,R4 tires w/ Kubota loader for $15,500. That was $350 less than the 1st dealer I check'd with. Still waiting on dealer #3 to e-mail me his best price. ....

I thought so. I happened to meet with the owner of the dealership in the course of my work. When I told him I had shopped his lot several weeks earlier pricing a tractor, he told me to give me a call if I was serious about a purchase.I called him a week later and told him I thought I was ready to make a decision and he told me he could cut $500 off of the quote I had received from his sales person. Said "you were straight with me, so I'll be straight with you, that's the best I can do." We'll how the 3rd dealers quote is, but doubt it will be better.. ....

In our area we have been really short of that model and the L-3400hst's for the rural area they are a good multi function basic tractor. We've often been waiting near a month plus on sold orders for delivery. ....

This dealer only has 2 left right now, so I have to let him know pretty quickly. Art, since I'm a tractor newbie, give me your opinion.. I'm going to need a boxblade and a bush-hog to maintain my property. The Kubota stuff is $$$. What about good used stuff, or a implement only manufacturer? What do you think?? Or, I could go with the DT model tractor and use the extra $$ to buy the other stuff..decisions,decisons
Thanks,
Steve ....

For much of your use the hydro is fine if not the best. I'd go to the L-3400 to take benifit of the the two stage clutch for the hog work if not the hydro. ....
